About Us

Our Beliefs

Mission Statement
Our mission to offer God’s message of Hope and Love to everyone in our community, with a
specific focus on individuals and families who are dealing with the impact of addiction and
other challenges in life.

Core Values
1. Christ Centered. We believe that Jesus Christ is the great healer and that everyone can
find hope and peace by putting their belief in Him.

2. Love as our Defining Characteristic. We strive to build our ministry around love based on
1 Corinthians 13 which instructs us that ‘Love is patient and kind... Love never gives up,
never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.’

3. Acceptance. We recognize that many people in our world have had negative experiences
with “church”. Our goal is to maintain a culture where everyone is welcome and feels
comfortable coming to our meetings just as they are.

4. Fellowship and Unity. We believe that the foundation of Biblical fellowship is for everyone
in our community to be honest and transparent about their daily struggles. We want to
build a culture that encourages meaningful relationships with other believers.

5. Twelve Step Principles. We believe that the 12 step principles are an important tool for
faith-based recovery. We recognize that there are various interpretations of the 12 steps,
and we accept any version that puts faith in God at the center of the recovery journey.

6. Accountability with Grace. We believe that accountability combined with grace and
mercy is central to our faith journey. We encourage members of our community to
develop accountability circles.

7. Scripture as Authority. We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and should
be used as the ultimate authority for our beliefs and standards of practice.

8. Power of Prayer. We believe that regular prayer to God is powerful, and we encourage
everyone in our community to have an active prayer life.

Talking Points
•Our church puts faith-based recovery at the center of our mission.
•We recognize that there are multiple recovery ministries in the area, and we do not want
to exclude or alienate any individuals based on their affiliation with other churches or
recovery ministries. We do not require that anyone “leave” their current church or
recovery group to participate in our church.
•
We believe that everyone has a NEXT STEP in their faith journey. Our goal is to connect
the people of God with the right tool to help them take their next step. For some
individuals that next step is to find healing through Christ for their current
circumstances. For others that next step is to help others find hope and healing through
the love of Christ.
